Winchester Model 12's
I know that winchester made a 28, 20, 16, and 12 gauge in the model 12. Did they make a 410, or a 10 gauge? Thx,
Molitor

No they did not. Winchester did make a 410 that looked similar to the model 12, but it was the model 42. 0 -
Hi molitor12_8,
The information from ndeltaguns is correct. The model 12 was also made in 28 gauge, but not 10 gauge.0 -

Hello molitor12_08,
Winchester experimented with a Model 12 in .410. I shoot at the Winchester Factory range where two retired Winchester gunsmiths work part time. They are a great source of info. They told me that Winchester made four units using a sleeved 28 ga barrel. When Winchester got out of the firearms manufacturing business, they sold a lot of "stuff" to employees. I have a friend that has one of these Modlel 12's. It is marked EXP #3. I have seen it and handled it. It was not well balance, partly because of the barrel sleeve. The receiver seemed to big for the job.
