looking for advice winchester or kimber
looking to buy a shooter 22 bolt rifle , found a nice kimber hunter silluette and a nice winchester model 52 sporter the remake i believe done in japan, i am not to familiar how the winchester shoots are they ok i know the kimber has good reputation. any info would be great

Kimber all the way. I've owned 2 model 82 Kimbers (3 if you count a .22 Hornet). Have had many more model 52's though never a sporter. Looked at the Japanese remake of the sporter when it first came out. Don't know how it shot, but quality of wood, checkering, and metal work were all inferior to the Kimber. Maybe someone who has owned one will give you a different take. Still, I don't think you can go wrong with the Kimber.
p.s. Oregon Kimber, or recent model? I love them both, but for what its worth Kimber won't even give you the time of day if you have a service issue with one of the Oregon models.
