Unless you know the age of the particular item, or unwrapped it yourself; maybe (with trauma plates and an extra carrier)$200.
The problem is that without knowing whether the previous owner washed it, got it wet, left it in a hot trunk all day for a week, or something else that would degrade the effectiveness of the ballistic material; it may or may not "work".
Point Blank vests are very well made, and very effective within the Mfr's life span of 5-7 years. If you are shot in the line, they will swap your lifesaving vest for a new one. Otherwise, I believe they still offer a discount to LEO's.

If you know it all; you must have been listening.<br>WEAR EAR PROTECTION!

gunnut Thanks for the info. The story behind it is that my new sister-in-laws ex bought the vest in 2001 when he was trying to make the SWAT team at his PD. Worn twice then hung in the closet since then. He did not qualify due to an injury. Don't really know what I'm gonna do with it, I know I probably never will wear it. Thanks again
