Rare Remington?
I am new to the forum but have been reading the posts for some time now and thought I would ask here since I agree w/ most of the info that is shared.
I recently bought a Remington 700 ADL Stainless Synthetic in 338 Win Mag. Has anyone ever seen one of these, I have looked in the Blue Book and on the net but have yet to find a match. I was hoping to a value on this from "one of the experts"
Thanks

FOR any "rare" Remington you would need to go to the ones made in the 1800s. IMO. nambu 0 -
It might be one of those made in lesser numbers, but it doesn't mean higher value. One of my favorite Remington 700's is a limited-edition run of .264 win mag in stainless/synthetic. Although some of the owners of these guns feel the lower production run makes it worth more (and it might 50 years from now), right now it doesn't make hardly, if any difference. It is kinda neat having something less than common however.
You might contact Remington directly and see if they can provide you with any kind of numbers (I doubt it, but it's worth asking).0 -
I do not consider myself an expert, but the gun you have is a model that was made in 1993 only. I do not know the number made, but had one myself. They are uncommon, but as others said, no real collector value at this time and probably for a long time to come. Remington also has dropped the BDL stainless synthetic in 338 Win Mag. which I thought was a dumb move. As to value, if it is like new, I would figure it worth the price of a new stainless 700. Mine was a good shooter, I should have kept it. 0 -
Thanks guys, incedentially I also have one of the 264 mags. I put it away for my son to use when he is older. 0 -

Lucky dog! [:p]
If it was a BDL I'd be trying to trade you for a .300 win mag 700 BDL SS DM0 -
Yes it is a BDL made in 2000-2001, ss/syn. Sorry I already showed it to him, he's only 7 but already excited to use it. 0
