    taco413,
the america bulldog revolvers were manufactured between 1878 and 1899. the manufacturer was johnson & bye gunsmith 1878-1883 and iver johnson (later to become iver johnson arms& cycle works) 1883-1899. they were manufactured for black powder cartridge pressures only, not safe with modern ammo.

there were four frame sizes and four calibers. the 32 and 38 were the most popular. the total manufactured between 1878 and 1899 is approx. 1,000,000,000. almost impossible to date beyond years of manufacture.
