AKAH ??

This is stamped on the side of a starters pistol I recently purchased at the local flea market. I bought it with intent to help train my dog. I wondered along AKAH on the net. Looks like they are currently making fine fire arms out of Germany. Any Ideas to it's value. It is a Model 6 made in Germany. The serial number is 789x. It's shaped like a semi auto but has no moving parts other than the feed strip that enterd thru the front under the mock barrel. It function flawlessly and has about 85% of the finish. The grips are plastic and have a target logo on them. Thanks

    Akah is the tradename/trademark of the Albrecht Kind Company.
    They are a large German distributor of firearms, airguns, hunting accessories etc., who have been in business since the 19th Century.

    To the best of my knowledge they don't manufacture anything,i.e. the stuff they sell under the Akah name is made for them.

    It's hard to say who made it or when your starters pistol was manufactured? Chances are it's not worth a lot of money.

    Describe the proof marks, if it has any. We might be able to narrow down that way.

    Thanks for the info rufe-snow. I had the AKAH thing wrong. Should of done more research. As far as any proof marks, there is only the #4 on the trigger gaurd. Thanks again.
