A Bolt binds
Purchased a used Browning A Bolt Stalker at a local gun show last week,
Shot the rifle this week end and the bolt seems to bind when you unload and load, is this the norm

No, isn't normal. The A-Bolt has a bolt guide to keep the bolt from binding. Might check the guide rails for cleanliness and apply a slight amount of gun grease to them to see if this will help.
Have had several A-Bolts and enjoyed them all, especially the short 60 deg bolt throw. The actions were always slick and easy to operate.

Try removing it and lookin for any possible faws check the rails and see if you notice anything that my be defective. I've had my A-Bolt Stalker for a few years now and its absolutly a flawless rifle. The bolt was smooth right out of the box. I'd suggest cleaning everything, lubing it up real good and working it a few times. 0 -
