  Specific to the model mentioned ... I couldn't say. However I do know the MGC is (was) a Japanese firm that makes (made) high quality model, blowback and airsoft type guns, other models, puzzles, etc. and that they have (had) several firearm models.
  
  I took a quick look at the following site but didn't find your model. You might like to look at the site and perhaps even send them an inquiry about your model.
