Old Henry Prudie Shotgun appraisal

I have an old (maybe 100 - 150 years old?) side by side Henry Prudie shotgun and would like an appraisal on what it is worth. It has two external hammers and easily breaks down by lifting off the barrels. It is in excellent condition and is still in the original leather carring case. I can send pictures if needed.

  Check the spelling of the name "Purdie". The famous English shotguns were made by the "Purdey" family.
  
  If the name on your shotgun is spelled "Purdie", it's probably a Belgian knock-off.

  It would appear that You have a very Rare and desireable Fowler.
  HENRY PRUDIE was a gunmaker in His own Right, though few of His guns have survived. He is shown as being in business at #28 Fleet Street, London, for one year only and that was in 1888...It will be impossible for me to place a value on this Gun because of the Rarity..Depending upon Condition its possible that this Gun could be worth up to Five Figures....My suggestion to You is to contact Southeby's in New York for an appraisel...and don't handle it anymore than necessary...and Whatever You do...Don't Dry Fire it...I wish You Well........Best....

  Boy, do I hope you're correct. My only worry is that you describe a fowler and the post was about a shotgun... Usually a distinct difference and the reason I suspected a spurious stamping.
