Stevens 12 ga. singleshot Shotgun

I have a Stevens single shot 12 ga Shotgun that was my great grandfathers. There is no serial number or model number on it. It is stamped "STEVENS ARMS COMPANY, OHICOPEE FALLS, MASS.U.S." (There is no SAVAGE trademark of any kind so I am guessing it is dated 1913 to 1920.) The only other stamp is on the barrel which is "Patented August 12, 1913". The gun is in good shape and still shoot-able. Can anyone tell me a model number or have some info. Value???

    Stevens made guns were marked "J. Stevens Arms and Tool Co." up to 1916. In 1920 Savage bought out Stevens, and the marking was changed to "J. Stevens Arms Co.". In the late 1940s the "J." was dropped and "Stevens Arms Company" was used. Consequently, your shotgun was manufactured sometime in or after the late 1940s. Stevens/Savage made a vast array of different shotgun models, and unless you can post pictures of it, I doubt we can identify which specific one you have. Value for most of those old single shot scatterguns is somewhere in $50 - $100 range (some people quote them at $35, but that is only if you are trying to sell it to a dealer).
