1100 Rem. question

I have a 1100Rem. that is marked LW 20 SPECIAL on the barrel. My cataloque shows a LW 20 lightweight and a special field. It has a checkered straight stock which is typical of the special field. It has a ribbed barrel without chokes. It is in 99% condition and I am trying to determine its worth. It has a high gloss finish which isnt typical of the special field. It has a 21 inch barrel which isnt typical of the Lightweight 20. Can anyone tell me what Ive got or what it is worth? I know it has not been altered, as it is exactly as purchased. In addition I have a slug barrel to fit.

    I just sold one of these not 3 months ago at a gunshow. The only difference between my shotgun and yours was the high gloss finish. Mine was a light 20 ga., english (straight) stock, checkering, 21" barrel, no chokes (modified barrel). My finish would have probably been considered matte or very light gloss. Anyway, mine was probably in 90% condition and I sold it for $325 and I had shot it alot growing up, but took real good care of it. I had the gun about 15-17 years and I think I paid $250 - $300 originally. So I made a few bucks, but got more than my share of worth out of shooting it over the years. If you get a chance, take it to a gunshow and see what you can get, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get $400 for it if its in as good condition as you say. I was asking $350, and could have probably gotten it at the show, but I sold it early to a guy on the floor for cash... couldn't pass it up. I tried to trade the gun at a variety of different gun shops and the most I got offered was $300 and most of the offers were between $225 - $250. Once again, take it to a show if you are interested in selling it. Hope this helps.
