Winchester 1400 Barrel trouble
I have a Winchester 1400 MkII shotgun with a 22" rifle sight, Winchoke barrel. I wanted a longer barrel to shoot trap, so I bought one off of Gunbroker. The new barrel is marked Model 1400L, and there is a problem. It fit's the receiver OK, but the bolt won't seat into the barrel. The lugs for the two barrels are a bit different, also. The 22" barrel has more pronounced squared lugs to align the bolt, while the 1400L barrel has somewhat tapered lugs.
The spacing for the lugs seems OK, it just won't accept the bolt.
Any Ideas?

Ed, I think the 1400 L is for Left Hand. The left hand barrel won't fit a right handed shotgun.

[:I]Why does that suddenly make sense? The worst part about it,
is that I'm left handed, but just got used to shooting right handed
guns over the years. I never thought of that?
