i have a few hundred rounds through mine and i love it. it is reliable and accurate,,fits my hand just perfect, easy to conceal.you might also want to check out the compact,it has the same frame with a four inch barrel 0 -
Prowlerjunky,
Buy it. You can't go wrong for the money and you will love it.
These guns oftentimes shoot better than the full size Kimber 1911's.

OK I BOUGHT IT........SHOT PMC .45 THROUGH IT AND IT JAMMED ...WHAT AMMO SHOULD I USE.I KNOW THIS IS CHEAP AMMO BUT WORKS GREAT IN MY RUGER......I OWNED A DESERT EAGLE AND THIS BRINGS BACK BAD MEMORIES...WHAT DO YOU GUYS USE??? 0 -
When I got a Para, I asked the same question. Heard the Kimber was tight also. I look for a round with a smooth taper-crimp.
I have four rounds before me, all 230gr. FMJ.
Federal AE
PMC
S&B
Fiocchi
The smoothest bullet-to-case seam among these examples is apparently the Fiocchi. I can run 100 rounds through the Para, 100%. This is after break-in.
The PMC generally feed fine, but not when the gun was new.
I'll have a 3" BBL Para on Friday to try different ammo in, so we'll see if the PMC vs. Fiocchi repeats itself.0 -
In the Kimber Manual is says to break the gun in (500) rds.. I use cheap Winchester USA ammo... Had a few jams I think it was in the first 100 rds.. F.Y.I. I have used the Winchester Win Clean, DONT buy it. it will jam in just about every gun...
I think after you shoot it , it will get better (no jams) I like shooting the Winchester 185 gr in it, but it is hard to find. Remember dont get the Win Clean![:D]

My brother and I bought 2 ultra ten II cdp's, both had to be sent back to Kimber due to failure to feed problems. Kimber replaced the extractors on both, but after more than 1000 rounds with multiple types of ammo, the failure to feed problem is better, but not cured. We are both very pissed that a $750.00 pistol is not reliable. I have heard that Kimber is not going to continue to produce the ultra ten II. I wish they would buy mine back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the frames are made by Bul of Israel, and now, Charles Daly is using them as part of the "M-5" series. 0 -
sorry to hear that. i have shot most kinds of the range ammo and some of the self-defense loads and have not had a single jam. get wilson mags. hope this helps. 0 -
I bought a Kimber Eclipse Pro II....have constantly had jams...not quite shot 500 rds yet (break-in)...the spent cartridge is catching on the case end of the new round...friend suggested getting a Wilson combat mag....like you I've used the Wal Mart Winchester and also the PMC target rds...same results with either....sometimes I can shot a whole clip without a jam. 0
