I need to get a new concealed carry gun. I just don't like my Sig 232, so I'm selling it.
Which would be better for "concealed" carry -- Kahr P9 or Colt Mustang?

Seriously, what seek you? Concealment, light weight, reliability? You have all that with the SIG. Smaller and lighter would be a Kel-Tec 3AT.

don't own one but on my wish list is a nice Colt Mustang...I have a friend that thought it would be a great CC but says it is still a little bulky and heavy for a .380....I suggest if you go the .380 route the Keltec is hard to beat for price, size and dependability...that's what I carry most of the time...usually forget it's there... 0 -

I just don't like how the Sig shoots, and don't like the mag release on the bottom. I'm thinking that with the punch of a 9mm, the Kahr should work fine. Colt Mustang will be too heavy, I think.

i know you will get alot of replies on this. but in my experience carring weapons, both on duty and in the military and concealed i want a weapon that will stop someone with one shot.the .380 dont fall into that category.for a concealed weapon i carry an AMT backup in .45acp,it is small,light,and very dependable and it is easy to conceal if a .45 is to heavy a caliber for you to shoot i would recomend a .40 or a .38spl

I carry a Glock 29 (10mm) which has greater than .357 mag power in a semi-auto platform and a larger bullet diameter as well as larger mag capacity and is very concealable.
For those rare occasions when I feel I can't conceal the G29 I carry a Kel-tec P3AT (.380). It is so light and so small that there's simply no excuse NOT to take it along...0 -

The main thing to think of here is "small and light". Large frame, large caliber is great but consider how you have to conceal it. Light because they all get heavy after 8 to 10 hours, small because it shouldn't be obvious that you're concealing. Some body styles can conceal bigger than others, but it's still tough depending on clothing, weather, ect. The Kahr PM9 (or PM40) and the KelTec 39AT in .380 come to mind. 0 -
I went for the Kahr K-9! I don't have a problem with a little more weight, and the 9mm is better than the .380. My wife carries a 380.
Of course, if Kahr made a .45ACP, HEAVEN!

While you are looking at the aforementioned pistols, look at the Taurus PT140 or PT145, they are just as concealable as the Glock or Kahr and carry more rounds than the Glock 27. I compared them and settled on the Taurus and have had no problems with it. By the way, it fits most of the holsters that the Glock 26 or 27 fit. 0 -
From the 2 that you mentioned I would go with the Kahr. [8D]
