Sar-1 question, help...

This is going to sound stupid since I assume I should be able to just look and tell, but does the SAR-1 have the ak style chrome lined barrel??

    The Romanian Ak variant SAR-1? Yes.
    I honestly think that this is the only firearms question that I have ever answered in one word. It feels so strange. It seems like I should be saying more.

    Thanks, believe me it seemed strange to ask such a question. Rest assured that I starred at that barrel with many different bore lights and I really just couldn't tell. I mean I have really never seen a chrome lined barrel so I wasn't sure what it should look like.

    Chrome lined barrels are not something that the civilian runs into every day. Staring INTO the bore really won't tell you much. If you unload, check it twice, remove the bolt, look at the chamber end. you'll see where the chrome starts and the bluing ends. E-mail me if you have more questions. I have two of those little rifles myself. OK, one is my wifes.
