Sako 375 H&H Safari?
I just got a Sako AIII in 375 H&H with a full length stock and a 3 leaf express sight. It was purchased in Finnland and brought over here it has no US import marks. It is only stamped AIII on the reciever with the serial number, and marked Sako 375 H&H on the top of the barrel near the reciever. Is there anyone who can tell me anything about this rifle or any web sites dealing with Sako?

As far as I know (and that is not much just ask my wife) the AIII means long action, it comes in at least two configurations standard and deluxe. If it has checkering, rosewood grip cap and is semi-beavertail at foreend is deluxe otherwise is standard. Value for deluxe in very good condition is around a grand standard about 250 less. Sounds like you have a fine firearm there. 0 -
Sako and Tikka are now part of the Beretta group of companies. Although there may be something similar in their product line, I believe the Safari model was discontinued several years ago.

This is one of the very few sources for information regarding Sako firearms. You have to register to use the site but believe me it can be worth it just to get information that you need.
