Pre 64 Model 70 Winchester - what's it worth?

    Believe by that year the factory was d/t'ing the receivers for scope mounts. As long as the barreled action hasn't been modified, only the stock, you can still find original stocks for replacement (albeit expensive) and have a complete pre-'64. In the condition you describe, a little more than the average used shooter - say $400 - $500, depending on the region and what used guns are selling for in your area. The .270W chambering is as common as the everyday M70 in 30-06, therefore, no "rare" value.
