[?] Picked up a 1911 Auto Ordnance 45 . Will the Colt parts fit this weapon . thx.

[:(]Picked one up a few years ago to use the frame for a "race gun".
All the parts that came off it were JUNK, all the parts that went on it had to be hand-fitted.
BTW, frame & slide were OK, held out well for many thousands of rounds.0 -
I acquired a Thompson 45 a few years ago, and it turned out to be one of the most accurate shooters I have in my safe. After shooting it for a couple years, I decided to trick it out, and replaced the trigger, main spring housing, grips, sights, grip safety, slide stop release, and hammer, all with match grade parts. When I got that done, it really was accurate, capable of shooting 1 ? groups at 25 yards, from a sandbag rest.
I love to shoot it, and it never lets me down. I think you can not beat the Thompson Auto 45 for the money, if you are trying to get the feel of the 45 ACP guns.
