I JUST ACQUIRED AN OLD RIFLE,,IT IS A LEVER ACTION SINGLE SHOT,,FALLING BLOCK MARKED,,J. STEVENS A & T. Co. UNDER THAT IS,,CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. USA. PAT, APR.17,94,,,ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BARREL IS STAMPED 22 LONG RIFLE,,AND ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF REAR TANG IS STAMPED R 101....THE BARREL MEAS 20 1/2" FROM REC TO END AND THE FIRST 6" NEAR THE REC IS OCTAGON THE REST OF BARREL IS ROUND,,HAS A BUCKHORN STYLE REAR SIGHT AND BRASS BLADE FRONT,,IT DOES COME APART,VIA LG SCREW WITH A RING THROUGH IT AT THE BOTTOM OF RECIEVER,,ALSO HAS A CRESCENT BUTT LIKE A WINCHESTER 92,,WHICH IS PLASTIC AND BROKE,,DOES ANTONE KNOW WHAT MODEL THIS IS SO I CAN FIND A BUTTPLATE,,,,,,THANK YOU

    Morning Spookster: The Stevens Crack Shot No. 26 Single Shot Rifle.Came in .22 Long Rifle and .32 R.F....18" or 22" Barrels...Made 1913 to 1939...
    The Crack Shot No. 26 1/2 was Smooth Bored for Shot cartidges....

    Buttplates at www.gungrip.com $12.50....By the way, this is a good place to find lotsa odd plates and grips.

    The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
