Savage Stiker Muzzle Brake???

Does anyone know how to adj. the muzzle brake on a Savage Striker 516. I got a used one in the shop, but I can't get the thing to adjust. Does anyone have any experience with these?

  It's in the owner's manual, pg. 8.
  
  If for some reason you don't have an owner's manual, they can be ordered from Savage Arms or downloaded here:

  Select 'Bolt Action Centerfire' and scroll to page 8.
  
  If, for some reason you can't get it to adjust, it may be from debris and garbage that has collected around the threaded junction. Soak it in Break-Free or use Carb Cleaner on it and let it soak in.

  Thank you, I tried twisting it, but I couldn't get it open, and I didn't want to force it. A little Gun Scrubber did wonders.
