Just sold my MAK-90, and I'm just wondering about some shipping issues. Would it be legal to send the rifle to the person without the bolt/pin assembly, and then send the assembly seperately? I don't want to attempt anything that may get either me or the buyer in trouble, so I want to know for sure first. Thanks a bunch!

    NO!

Read "For Sellers" on the GunBroker auction site.

The "firearm" is the serial numbered receiver. You can ship all the other parts to the buyer directly, but the receiver needs to go to a FFL and he then transfers it to your buyer. Taking the gun appart, though, doesn't make sense--it will cost you more than just shipping the whole thing to his FFL.

Make sure his FFL is OK with receiving a firearm from an individual--most don't have a problem as long as you include a copy of your driver's license with your shipment, but some still don't want to receive from an individual, they only want to accept shipments from another FFL.
