How are the new bt 99s?

my mane is ricky and i got into trap about 5 months ago. Im 15 years old and just lost my job. I had my heart set on getting the browning xt trap, but with me loosing my job it just cant happen. Anyway between my birthday money and my parents help they agreed they will spend enough to get a bt99($1000). I have to say i think the gun (Bt99 conventonal) is very boring and dull looking. The only reason im thinking of getting it is because i need a trap gun. Are the new ones as good as the old ones? The guys at my gun club are talking about the old ones but i think i want to buy new. And i dont think i can buy a bt 100 for around that price so it looks like im stuck on the 99. What would you fellas suggest doing if worse comes to worse they might spend a few hundred more on me :) Thanks

    boring and dull looking are emotional responses, not practical responses. who cares what a gun looks like, you want one that breaks targets. if you buy a gun that looks sexy, youre being lead by the nose by designers who want you to buy on impulse. dont fall for it. if you lost your job, trap shooting should be the last thing youd want to do. trap shooting is an expensive sport. but, if you anticipate a new job soon, seriously, buy a used trap gun for around 450.00, forget what it looks like, make sure it fits, and put 600.00 into shells. when the shells run out, youll be so good with that 450.00 gun, youll be winning the purses and youll be able to buy a nicer gun![:)]

    The BT-99 is the work horse of the Trap Range, A great Trap gun. It would be a great choice, You can always sell it later on and buy the XT When you got more money. You should be able to buy a good used BT fer around $700.00. Also find an instructer and take some lessons. At your age you should do Great.[:D]

    check out G B auctions i got a bt 100 used but in great condition for just under $1000. but there are a good number of trap guns out there that you could get.that will fit your price range
