The following is a C&P from Beretta CSR:
After discussing with my gunsmith (Luke) about someone telling you that if the gun has a slightly soiled chamber it will cause short cycling, that is incorrect. This (slightly soiled chamber) should not cause (short cycling) and if you are experiencing that then it is not from a slightly soiled chamber.
You are correct that this gun has NO extractor but it does have an ejector.
In your email you asked for a description of how the shell is ejected.
The shell is blown back out of the barrel under recoil and gas pressure until it hits the ejector.
When I get the gun back, I will try hotter ammo, as suggested (Corbon was recommended).
