Bulldog .44 Special . How old?

This one is a stainless with a 3" barrel. I replaced the oversized rubber grips with a pair of wooden bulldog grips left over from an earlier gun in the 70's. Can you tell me when this one was made? Serial number is 10103xx. Thank you.

    (3) different CT companies have produced 44 Bulldogs using some form of the Charter name in the last 20 years.

    Being it has the 3" barrel, my WAG is that it would be a product of the original Charter Arms, which would date it prior to 1991.

    The original company was located in Stratford CT, That MIGHT be marked on the revolver?

    It is an early model marked "Stratford, Conn. My first bulldog in .44 Spec was made in 1974 0r 75 when they were all blue. I'd like to determine the actual year of manufacture of this stainles one. So far, I've not had any luck matching the serial number to a year. Any help is appreciated.

    We had a real Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Spec as the alledged store defense gun in the shop I worked in long ago. 19 ounces isn't fun to shoot. Put Pachmayr grips on it and it's almost ok. Friggin' thing is a hand cannon no matter what it's made of. We used to say polish the muzzle to make it look bigger. Heavy shooting gun, but the bosses son shot it at 100 yards with no fuss when he was 9.
