shipping firearm acessories to austrailia ?

I know you need lic. and permits to ship firearms and ammo out of the country!! what about firearm accessories like a bayonet ,person to person? Where is Mark Christian he would know!!!!

  plads is a screen name used by one of our members who is a American collecter living in Australia. Send him a e-mail, being it's a bayonet I'm sure he would be able to tell you if it's legal to ship to OZ.

  The export of defense items is regulated by the Dept of State. They issue export permits for items that may be exported. You need to contact them, as the Munitions List periodically changes.

  I checked the prohibited and restricted items list for Australia on the US Postal Service website. It said nothing about edged weapons being prohibited.
