Sears (J.C.Higgins) Mod 33 22 Cal Pump
Can anyone tell me when these guns were made ? It is the only one I have seen and it does not have a serial number.
Thanks, H.O.

The crossover lists show the sears model 33 as being made by J.C. Higgins. That means there are apparently no records of who actuall built this rifle, since J.C. Higgins is simply a brand name and they built no firearms or anything else. The records for the department store models are scant to non existant, so the only real hope is to look at the records for the underlying model with the manufacturers name. In this case that is unknown, so it will be very difficult at best to track down the information you want. 0 -
The model 33 was made by Noble MFG co. in Haydenville MASS. Depending on which variation you have it could have been a Model 33, 33a, or 236.The difference in the 3 models was vary minor. Made from 1949 to early 70's when noble went out of business. Your rifle should have a long stock that ends just past the receiver. The receiver should be round. Value is not high. Check for sales,I thought I saw one recently. 0 -
