NITRO HUNTER
I have a NITRO HUNTER 10 gauge serial # 696xx matching # on barrel. Behind the hammer the stock is cracked on both sides. Barrel is 26 inches long, ontop of barrel it has 10 CA. CHOKE. It is chrome looking on the reciever and says NITRO HUNTER with a ram's head between Nitro & HUNTER. It has some spots on the reciever and maybe a little rust i would like to know how to clean it if possible. I would like to know the date it was made and its worth.

Kinda Hard to put an actual date on your NITRO HUNTER...It was the TRADE NAME used by Belknap Hardware Company of Louisville, Kentucky ..Turn of the 20th Century...Sold thru Mail Order Houses and Catalog Stores and Hardware Store...Sold for $10.00 up to $25.00.. If in Good shooting condition and No Visiable Defects...Outside Hammers and Steel barrels....$250.00...
Hammerless and Steel Barrels....$275.00...
For Damascus Barrels and Outside Hammers...$200.00..
Hammerless and Damascus barrels.....$200.00....
Your Gun with Rust and Bad Stock...$100.00...For Cleaning the Rust....because its No Purdy or Holland & Holland or other High Dollor Shotgun...I'd use Hoppes #9 and 600 Fine Steelwool......
