ruger p95 to ruger p97dc conversion

Will the Ruger p95 slide and barrel fit and function on the Ruger P97dc frame? Someone in expertland knows the answer to this!![:)]

  I am reasonably sure it won't. The frame sizes are different, the P95 actually being a little thicker, and correct me if I'm wrong the P97 uses a different style of lock up. I've owned a P97 and P89.
