It would help if you told us what make scope you have. I don't recall seeing this kind of filter offered for any current production scopes, but the manufacturer of your scope would be the first place to look.

A polarizing filter would have to screw onto the front of a scope, so it would need to be made for a specific model. I use a polarizing filter on my camera to reduce glare, or reflected light; it's helpful for taking shots on the water or through glass. Since shooters usually aim at either paper targets or animals, glare is rarely a problem; if it is, I'm not taking the shot.

    Quinn,

Maybe I just haven't read enough about 'tactical scopes' but I don't recall a de-polarizer.
Is this what you're referring to? This is the only product that I have used to kill the reflection.

"Being detected because of reflections has resulted in the loss of personnel, the failure of missions... and even changed the course of battles.

killFlashr ARDs (Anti-Reflection Devices) are used by U.S. Army, Navy, Marines and Special Forces to camouflage their optics and cut the glare that interferes with clear sighting!

killFlashr ARDs use a high-tech honeycomb material and patented geometry to provide a low-cost, retrofittable solution to glint and glare from optical surfaces... with minimal light loss and no loss in resolution."

If it is then they have a complete list of scopes that they have product for.

Yep, that's a polarizing filter, alright.

Although I am sure that you have only the best of intentions, I believe that those of us who spent several months locked down because of the DC Sniper won't have a lot of sympathy for your quest. I wouldn't blame any dealer who restricted the sales of these to LE only.

If you just want a polarizing filter for fun, you can easily find one that will your single lens reflex camera.

Hello many of the "red dot" scopes such as ultra dot gilmore etc have a filter that come with their scope and screws on to the front lens shade tube. " quote:"PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"
