My reference notes that they date to the mid 60's and were only made for 5 years.
The 200 series rimfire rifles were made in lever action as well as pump. They all had aluminum receivers. As they were only made for a short period of time and then replaced by the 9422 ( lever action only ), they MIGHT? have had problems.

I believe that the 200 series rimfires were replaced by the 190/290/470 series because they cost too much to make. The 190/290/470 models had beech stocks, impressed checkering, & stamped & cast metal parts, & represent the worst (& cheapest) designs of the US gun industry.
None of the above have much value or collector interest today. Shooters were hoping for something like the old 62/62A series, but Winchester never believed that they would be willing to pay for that kind of quality.
