Savage Model 110

I am currently looking at a used Savage Model 110 270 with a composite stalk. It looks like it hasent been used much and it also comes with a scope but i dont know what brand. The asking price is $260, would this be a fair buy? Is there anything i need to look out for?

    Hey guys. I have a chance to pick up a nice (90%) savage 110 in 7mm-08 for about $175. Don't need it but hey what can you do? Can anyone tell me a rough idea of book value and date of manufacture? Serial number is F8869XX. As always thanks for your replies.

    For the money it is hard to beat the Savage 110 line of rifles. This is a good price. The scope is probably a Simmons 3x9 that they outfitted their rifle pacages with(readily recognized by a red line around the foreward objective bell).

    Savage is one of the most accurate rifles out there.
    It would be hard to damage one of these guns. If it looks like new, it probably is.
