mini-14 bottom falls out ???

My brother inlaw has one of the older mini 14s and the problem is when he shoots single shots from it no problem but when he rapid fires on the seventh or eighth shot the trigger housing falls out.can someone tell me why and how to fix this problem.

  I have seen this happen with older mini 14's. The trigger housing group has a lip on it that the trigger guard camps down on. That lip has been after much wear and tear over the years been bent out. You need to bend it back. If metal fatigue has set in then you will need help. I have seen this more often with the SS models. The ss is softer than carbon steal. I hope this helps. [8D]

  by the way ruger has a lifetime repair warranty too.
  just in case...all you do is follow the instructions on their website.

  Thank you for the information,And yes the rifle is stainless I will pass on what you folks told me to my brother inlaw.
