Vietnam Commemorative Thompson

I work as an eBay reseller and cannot post firearms (for obvious reasons) on eBay. I am trying to send my customer to someone who can take care of him and ran across this website.

I was wondering if there is much of a demand for the Thompson Vietnam Commemrative series (gold plated)?

I can send pics if necessary. I am just trying to help my customer, he lives in Arkansas.

  Welcome to the forum......
  There are some "collectors" who may be interested in the Thompson Commemorative. There have been a lot of Commemoratives made over the years both long guns and handguns and there is an interest, you just have to connect with the right customer.
  
  This site is widely used, so you might have some luck. That gun, since it is classified as an "assault weapon", cannot be sold to Calif as well as some other states

  As a professional reseller, I'm sure that you know that there is demand for anything if the price is right. I would doubt that your customer can recoup what he has invested in his "special edition" Thompson, but, if the price is low enough, he will eventually find a buyer. (I said "special edition" because this gun was packaged & sold by some company like the US Historical Society; it was not sold by Thompson.)
  
  Unlike the auction site that you usually use, Gunbroker doesn't charge a listing fee. So, your customer can start his gun at a "wishful thinking" level, &, when it doesn't sell, keep lowering the price until it does. He doesn't have to pay Gunbroker until it sells.
  
  On the other hand, selling a gun requires a lot of work; your customer must comply with Federal, state & local laws, or he risks time in prison if he makes a mistake. Some folks would rather sell to a local dealer (at a lower price) in order to avoid this possibility.
