Not an expert and a very lot depends on condition and somewhat on area of country. If this is a solid frame, they were manufactured
1955-1973. 100%(like new) $350, 98% $310, 95% $285, 90% $260,
80% $230, 70% $210 (Blue Book values). If in very nice shape, bluing all there, sharp and excellent rifling, and if the reciever isn't really worn near the chamber mouth plus nice, ungouged wood, I think it is worth up to $125 more than above 100 and 95% listing. This latter is MY opinion, as you don't see nearly as many in .243 and the fact it is a very popular caliber in a nice, smooth handling rifle.0 -
alle: Appreciate the info. am looking for the actual year of manf. I have had a couple of emails of value at $450 to $525 so you were in the ballpark. Thanks [:)] 0 -

blackpowdermax: Appreciate the site however it only goes to 1950 for the Savage 99. The one that I have is manf. around 1955/57. Apparently Savage intermingled there serial numbers with other models after 1950.
Thanks again.[:)]0
