I also own a x-150. Awesome shooting gun. I have fired 50+ 150 grain mag loads and never had a problem. My normal load is 120 grains pyrodex RS with 295 grain powerbelt. 245's also work great. Remember, Spain makes the best steel. A lot of Omega owners put down the spain made barrels and yet they brag about 3 1/2" groups at 100 yards with a scope and a shooting rest lol. Winchester x-150 is built solid and shoots great! I shoot close to 2" groups at 100 yards. I dropped 2 deer at 148 and 146 yards off hand and with NO scope. Come on! its a muzzleloader, if u want a scope, go back to centerfire rifles.

No comlaints here. I have an x-150 in .45 cal. It's one of my favorite guns to shoot. I have used powerbelts of all persuasions/weights with good results using pyrodex. Mine really likes 150 grains....if I drop to 100 gr my accuracy goes from 2" groups at 50 yds to @ 5-6". (open sights) Go figure.
As long as I can hold "minute of deer" I'm happy. Shoot away and enjoy!
