OPinions on AK "Hunter"

Looking for opinions on the AK "Hunter" model. Supposedly this rifle takes all ak mags. ANyone have any experience with this rifle??

  Ahh who makes it? It's on the tip of my tongue but I can't think of it. Also whats the price? If it's who I think it is and the price is under $1000, I think I'd jump on it.

  Your going to have to be more specific. Norinco made a couple of models know as the Hunter 1 & 2.
  
  As best as I can remember they resembled the current Saiga ( Russian ) imports.
  
  When Slick Willie cut off the import of Chinese firearms, they went down the tubes, along with the other stuff.
  
  If you want a shooter get a Russian Saiga from CDNN, they were selling them pretty cheap.
  
  A original Norinco Hunter would probably be classed as a collectors item these days and it's price would reflect that.

  One of the original Norinco Hunter AK style rifles was sold with a regular buttstock and no pistol grip. This made reaching the trigger very difficult unless one had very long fingers.
