Please identify this M1 Carbine sight assembly

I saw a photograph of an M1 Carbine, paratrooper model with folding stock, that had an aperture rear sight assembly I have not seen before. It was located on receiver bridge, like other M1 Carbine sights.

All other M1 Carbines I have seen incorporate winged aperture protectors and have sight adjustment knobs that are easy to use.

This sight assembly had no wings. The aperture was naked atop its base. I did not see any adjustments. I suspect they were screw adjustments in the base.

Does anyone have an isometric drawing or photograph of this sight? What is its model designation and number?

    What you have seen in the "L" type sight that is the most common rear sight that was used exclusively up until approximately serial number 5,660,000. They had two height position and were windage adjustable only by means of drifting the sight.
