Anyone have experience using Duracoat

I'm wondering if duracoat will cover up serial numbers on guns when you refinish them. Some serial numbers, especially imports, aren't stamped very deep. Does the ATF have any rulings on remarking serial numbers if the Duracoat covers them up?
