Darn: been a day or two since We talked..! Hope all is Well in Your Camp! Contrary to Popular Opinion the 16 has never been the most Popular Guage in America....Some Folks like'em and thats all that counts...As far as value go's on the one you discribe, and the Condition tendered....$350.00 Tops...All Your getting is a Utiltarian Shotgun that somebody Gussied Up!...If It were in Original Condition...Then Maybe $500.00....But No One I know would Pay that Much for a Re-Work....But, then...Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder.....Best......

and keep in mind that YOU asked for My Opinion......Write when You get the chance...

The good captain has nailed it. Some folks seem to thing refinishing makes 'em more valuable and they are wrong. It is a consignment rack though, so the seller has told the dealer what he needs and the dealer then tacks on his percentage. Fair enough. If you want to make him a solid offer well below the asking, and no one else comes along you might get it for your price and then restock. Just a thought.

Thanks for the responses - It has been a few since I've been over here. It is amazing - they make these things called books, that can tell you alot about firearms[:)]. I still read the posts from time to time, it's a learning experience.
That is what I thought about the Sweet 16, and I usually do not buy firearms from this shop. Also, they sold me an EMF .357 that almost fell apart when I took it out to the range (actually - parts glued on - the ejector rod housing and the front site) and would only give me an in-store credit. They do have supplies though and I had purchased a few other pistols there that were fine and at a reasonable price. The manager acts like you are an idiot when you point things out on a firearm that are obvious. The rest of the guys there are good to talk to - and actually use firearms...

All the difference between a home re-do and a Browning restoration. One looks good and the other really is good.

A clapped out car with a fresh coat of paint is still a clapped out car. Same with the A-5. $350.00 if she's mechanically sound, but all she'll ever be is a shooter.
