If I have a MAC-10 .45, and I take semi-auto shots, what is the maximum range I should be able to hit the target at?

Also, if I reduce the rate of fire, does it become more accurate?

    Full auto firearms are usually accurate on the first shot, after that the bullets are going over the target or somewhere else. This is a reason the military went away from full-auto to 3 shot burst.

    Semi's are always more accurate since the sight picture of the shots after the first are not disturbed on semi as they are on full-auto.

    With practice you should be able to hit a man size target at 100yds and beyond. Keep in mind there is about 6-8 inches of drop with the .45 at 100 yds.

    I have a MAC-10 in 9MM, and I would not expect anymore accuracy from mine on a single shot than a low end pistol. With the stock extended I can do a little better, but MAC's were not designed for accuracy.

    Short bursts work best for accuracy.

    Not now, I'm busy reloading!!!!
