Stevens Date of Manufacture

Friend has a Model 94 Stevens/Savage single shot shotgun in .12ga that has been in his family for awhile. We know gun is not worth anything but he would like to find out when it was made. Serial #B088297. Does anyone know ? Thanks guys.

  The B B notes that it dates to the late 1920's, this was after Savage bought Stevens. Since it has a serial number it might have been made as late as the 60's?
