Dan Wesson!

I recently traded my SA XD9SS cause I wanted a (target gun) so went into one of the shops and found a 1911 Dan Wesson Pointman Major 9mm target PM9-S, this gun combine all that I was looking for 1911, target capability, cheap to shoot 9mm, and i talk to several people and they say it was a good gun so so I got one, sticker price was 750Dls, OTD 635Dls in SS, today I went to the range and I came back heartbroken, all kinds of failures,[B)][:(][|)][:(!][V]
FTE
fail to ignite (hammer spring really weak)
should I trade it for something else and save my self some trouble?

    that weapon is under warranty, talk to your dealer first and see what he will do for you, if not satisfied, contact dan wesson personally, beleive me they will try to make it right by you. you may have gotten a [friday made weapon] it happens!!! a large gun store in louisville ky cant get enough dan wesson firearms, they have a waiting list!!! if there is truly a defect in parts or assembly, the manufacturer will be obligated to correct it. you did say you bought it new? send in the warranty card and go thru the procedures. Good luck, have faith!!!!!

    A lot of wholesalers are on the waiting list for guns from Dan Wesson, which might be the reason why they don't return calls for accessories.... "...leave a message and we'll return your call...."

    BUT, their products have usually been first rate. Hang in there and give them a chance to correct this one..

    I would take it up with Dan Wesson, I'm sure they'll make good on the gun. They normally produce good pieces it just sounds like one slipped passed quality control.

    My new DW VH6C arrived, but came with the standard barrel wrench. Since my revolver had a compensator, I called Dan Wesson. Within three days, my barrel wrench arrived with no charge. They were also very helpful when I was doing research on which .357 revolver to buy. I couldn't be happier with my masterpiece. I even go to customize the serial number at no charge! Shoots like a dream....

    I have a Dan Wesson PM7-S in .45 ACP that has been the absolute best 1911 i've ever owned or fired...it's super accurate and reliable too.

    Don't take a beating on trying to trade it off, they'll make it right. Check out the 1911forum.com and you'll find a Dan Wesson section, they might be able to help you too.

    Dan Wesson has a good customer service reputation.
