Shipping a rifle?

Hi, I want to ship a rifle to Canada. I already received my approved DSP-5 form. However the shipper that originaly told me they would do it, now told me they don't. Now I can't find anyone who will take it after all the time to get the paper work done. Any ideas?

    try fedex i use them for all my firearm shipping needs. the only draw back you might have to send it next day air or priority

    Thanks, however that is who I tried first. First they told me they would ship to Canada. I went through all the paper work and went to ship it today. Now they say I can't ship a gun to Canada.

    I believe that both FEDEX & UPS require that firearms be shipped from a company customer service counter unless you are a customer who receives regular pickups.

    You ever heard of the U.S Postal Service. There must be a Post Office in any town close too you. Make copies of all the paperwork so that you can send the originals with the firearm and have a copy for yourself.

    Thanks guys, however I need some information from someone who has shipped to Canada recently. I've tried Fedex, DHL, USP and USPS, I didn't try Airborne because they won't handle firearms shipment in the US. They are all telling me no go to Canada. I must be missing someone or something, surely this is done on a daily basis. Who knows, these places might be giving me wrong information or I might not be asking the right question.

    I first spoke to the clerk and he showed me the book that said prohibited to Canada all guns. Then I called customer service and they put me in touch with mailing requirements department. Basically she read off the section to me on mailing guns and it's a no go on international shipments.

    Sorry fellas, but chumchum was given accurate information by USPS; check out the Domestic Mail Manual, Conditions by Country, Canada:


    "Prohibitions (130)

    Firearms, including prohibited and restricted weapons, may not be mailed to Canadian addressees from outside Canada."
