Cobra arms ?
This is my first post with gunbrokers fourm.
My qustion is I'M looking for a low cost 9mm for my brother to use for his CCW. I getting it for him as a gift, and the Cobra Arms is about what I want to pay. How do the hold up, are they made well. Not looking for somthing to take to the range once a week Just somthing that wont fail when you need it. I was looking at KEL-TEC but local gunshop as had many returns of KEL-TEC handguns. Sorry for the long post
Thanks for any help!![?]

I'd do a Kel-Tec way before a Cobra Arms any day....

Owned and carried a KelTec, P 11 for many years. In my experience it's more reliable then the smaller KelTec P 32.
If you want to do right by your Brother, go with the P 11. Forget about the Cobra.

I think it very commendable of you to be looking out for your brother in such a fashion. That being said let me give you some food for thought. When i carry concealed, for protection of my life,I think my life is worth more than the cost of a Mustang.I own a Kel Tec,I plink with it often,it's a lot of fun.I own a lot of guns that are fun to shoot, but when I carry i want a piece i have absolutley no doubt is going to do the job.Period.I would reccomend spending just a little more and looking at something like a Taurus Millenium Series. For a shooter on a budget(mine cost 375.00)they are loaded with features and are very dependable.Ive run maybe 3000 rounds through mine so far with not one malfuntion. And your brother(no matter what he buys, should go to the range often, until everything he does with the piece is reflexive and instinctive. When you are facing down a bad guy you dont want to have to think about what to do here ,what to trip here, etc. You dont have time.In my line of work i see the end result of not being properly prepared with a firearm.they are like women, you invest time in them and they will take care of you.Just something to think about, hope it helps you.Good luck and be well. 0 -
Get him a good used S&W or Taurus revolver.

you get what you pay for. i would recomend a good used firearm from a reputable gun shop.

IMO,compared to the Kel-Tec the Taurus Millenium is a piece of crap.

I decided to give my brother the money and let him buy what ever gun he wants. And I will stay away which gun is better then another. My cary gun will be My North Arms 32acp or my H&K 45c.
