High Standered Sentinel Deluxe 22cal cylinder.

I have a High Standard Sentinel Deluxe 22LR revolver.I have had it for about ten years and last weekend while at the range it did something I have not noticed before.

While pushing on the ejector rod to eject the empty cases the whole cylinder slid back,not just the ejector star itself the whole cylinder.

I tried to repeat it and at first I could not duplicate it but if I jiggle the ejector rod while pushing it back if the cylinder lines up with the frame just right,it will slide back.

I have a exploded diagram of this exact model in the "Numrich Firearms parts guide #23" on page 283.After several reveiws of the schematic all parts look in proper place.

The only thing I can of is that the cylinder bushing "part #7110" may be worn.Any of you own this type of gun if so have you had this trouble?

    Check the Cylinder Lock Plunger Pin...Someone might have dissasembled the Pistol and lost the original Pin and replaced it with a Soft Wire Pin...and cut it to short...It'll drive You crazy trying figure out what causes the problem discribed......

    I dissasembled it and the pin is solid steel,and it all looks put together as per the exploded diagram.

    As I put it together I do not "see" how it is enginered for the cylinder to stay in place.

    HMmmmm?
