Does any one know any thing about these rifles? are they made well? dependable etc. any help would be appreciated.I have been looking at these on GB I just need a nudge and I'll buy. Thanks!

    The shop that I work at part time has sold a bundle of these, most of which are the century arms rebuilds. Rebuild is the operative word here. These are military rifles that have been taken down and made into legal to import semi-autos. Some have had rough chambers, and required a little fine polishing therein. They all need a thorough cleaning.After that, they are rugged,reliable, and reasonably accurate battle rifles. You will not make a bench rest target rifle out of it, but for what it is designed for,and what it is selling for, it's a heck of a deal. feel free to e-mail me if I can be of help.

    Fun shooters, the action on mine was a little stiff at first but after about 800 rounds it broke in nice, no problems with mine , have about 3000 rounds through it.

    If you're willing to do a little tinkering, cleaning and don't mind running a few hundred rounds for breakin, then you'll probably like the Cetme. Some are good enough to surprise you. Others, however,
    were poorly assembled and should be sent back for factory rebuilding.

    Like thunderbolt said, If you get one that is well put together, you will be happy. But if it isnt, you will have nothing but problems.
    The biggest problem with these reassembled parts rifles is improper head spacing. Like t-bolt said if you dont mind a little tinkering then you should be fine.[:D]

    I bought a CETME almost new for $300. I like it, but it helps to get to know how to load and operate it. I have seen a varity of receivers. Some look much better than others. Spend time looking so you can spot the better ones. Also the quality of the wood is highly variable. Also there are at least two different rear sights. The drum sight like H&K is better. I bought mine because it was a good example of the roller lock delay design.

    Bought mine (a Century)about three months ago because it was close to an HK 91 that my brother had years ago. Fun shooter for sure - reliable - and overall surprisingly more accurate than his 91 was. Worth the money for sure. Just don't trust Century's tech support after my experience with them.


    If I taught my kids right; they wont' even get my guns from my cold dead hands...

    Mine is the Federal Ordnance. It has the rolling bearing lockup.
    It shoot great out to 500 yards with a 16 power scope. It will consistantly his 10 inch dinner plates at this range. Excellent caliber. I am not sure if all The H&K clones use the roller bearing lockup..BUT if they do..they are accurate. If you want a 1000 yard gun get a SPRINGFIELD M1A
