gun finish question

Just curious. Does anyone know if the Browning high gloss finish is acrylic or polyurethane? How about the satin finish? Anyone know what Winchester uses?

  Check with Browning and Winchester, they will likely be happy to tell you.

  most definitely they are urethane! That product is the only one used for factory finishes for the last ten years. I have re-finished a ton of gun stocks in the last fifteen years, and have never run across any of them that was not urethane. It is by far the toughest finish you will find anywhere.
