I am looking to buy a gun safe. can any one tell me where to look for the best prices, also, any suggestions as to brand?

  Anyone know were i could get a good deal on a fire proof gun safe? I don't want to spend more than $500. Thanks

  .... you will find +'s and -'s on most brands..
  Look for previous posts that have usually been locked after tons of info. The bulk of 'fire protection' is how much sheet rock is in and around your safe.
  
  The best tip I can pass on from my experiences is that you cannot buy one 'big enough'. I knew I would buy another one when I bought my first one.

  Fort Knox is a great safe. Can't tell you about HS though.
