Rossi lever action in 44 mag. Condition is almost new. Seller is asking $225, is it worth it?

  oops,make that 'wanted' one.:)
  My .45colt Rossi has served me faithfully at cas matches for many a hundred rounds now.

  Here's an easy way to check...go the the Rossi website and check on THEIR MSRP for the same gun. Then call your local friendly gunstore where you do a lot of business and ask him if he special ordered that gun for you, what would it cost you. My local dealer will special order anything for me at his cost + 15% and that includes the shipping, cause he doesn't have to carry it in inventory and he gets his money almost as soon as the gun enters his store.
  
  $225 is about right for that gun IF it is in as good condition as you describe.
