Remington UMC Shotgun ID Help
It's a Remington UMC 12 ga. pump, serial no. U1009xx.
Last patent date is May 16, 1905.
I'm having a bit of a problem with exact identity although it appears to be Model 10 but there are no such markings on it.
I've had various opinions on it but the consensus is that it is a Model 10 manufactured somewhere around 1908-10 and that Remington didn't mark that model specifically as Model 10 until later in the production run. True, False?
Interesting tidbit: info at remington.com for Model 10 states in one place that Model 10 was manufactured from 1908-29 and in another place 1907-29.
TIA

Well, maybe my eyes aren't what they should be. It looks like May 16 to me. I have a photo but I didn't want to post the link to the listing for fear of being tagged as a spammer.
NOT TO WORRY...YOU MAY POST A PHOTO ANYTIME YOU LIKE AS LONG AS IT FITS THE TOPIC......BEST....Captain Kirk0 -
